David is responsible for the North America Tax Content Research teams at Avalara. David’s teams combine tax technical and research skills with advanced automation technologies to provide the tax content that powers Avalara’s North America tax compliance automation suite.
David joined Avalara in 2017 with a background in government tax administration including auditing, tax controversy, collections, taxpayer education, and compliance documents processing. With more than seventeen years’ experience in government tax administration, David has a deep understanding of the complex compliance obligations businesses face, and he is committed to automating this burden.
