Krysten Copeland

Krysten Copeland is an award-winning communications strategist and founder of KC & Co Communications, a small but mighty PR and marketing consultancy based in Washington, DC and Brooklyn, NY. She manages firm operations along with strategic and tactical planning for clients within the tech, real estate, lifestyle and political arenas. Her clients have included Yvette Clarke for Congress, Kim R. Ford for Congress, Michael Blake (DNC Vice Chair), Crittenton Services of Greater Washington, Transdev North America, Campaign Legal Center, Manna Inc, HGTV star Ati Williams and other candidates and businesses committed to effecting change.

Upon completion of her Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from Oakwood University, Krysten served as Communications Manager for DC Home Buzz, a boutique real estate firm in Washington, DC. Her strategic planning and tactical approach to integrated comms directly resulted in over $50M in real estate transactions within a one year period, up nearly 70% from the previous year. In 2014, Krysten joined Delucchi Plus as a Digital Marketing Manager where she led digital marketing efforts across social media for a portfolio of real estate clients worth around $5M.

Since launching her consultancy in 2015, Krysten’s clients have included local, national and multinational companies and figures. Due to her nimble, yet scrappy approach, her clients been featured in a variety of top-tier and niche publications, including The New York Times, Washington Post, CNN, MSNBC, O! Magazine, Forbes, Techcrunch, NPR, Wired, NBC News, The View and Essence Magazine, to name a few. In addition to her work, she serves on the board of Pine Forge Academy, one of the four remaining African American boarding schools in the U.S., and volunteers with Reading Partners, a children’s literacy nonprofit. Additionally, she is regularly tapped as a speaker, panelist, and instructor. She currently resides in Brooklyn with her dog, Minnie.
