I used to think that ‘marketing’ was a dirty word — a one-way bullhorn that blasts out messages hoping that someone will listen. But over time, I realized that it’s the same as any profession: you can create a bunch of activity and hope that people will listen, or you can hone the craft and skill with practice, and make it strategic and meaningful. When you focus on how to help your customers above all else, marketing delivers real impact. And marketing can be reinvented and reimagined. I’m thankful that I work in a space (SaaS/recurring revenue) where new ideas are celebrated, necessary, expected. So, here’s to reimagining Marketing.
