Toan Huynh

Toan(Twan) Huynh is an investor and board advisor in early stage enterprise SaaS for financial services, B2B fintech, and insurtechs. Toan has been active in the North American technology ecosystem for the past 21 years and was recently the US-based Partner for Information Venture Partners, a mid-sized North American fund making Series A+ investments into B2B companies that are relevant to the financial services industry.Toan also spent over 20+ years in innovation leadership roles within Financial Services as a bank executive and as Fortune 500 operator. She served as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence for a Citi Ventures, is active in the startup investing space, and is a mentor for women in venture and tech with startups like Declare, which looks to close the gender gap in finance, venture, and technology and Joonko.ai and leads the Fintech Group for several active member-led angel funds.

Prior to formally joining the venture world, Toan had been actively investing in a number of early stage fintech startups as well as having had a successful exit in a company she founded. In 2008, Toan co-founded GlobalOne, a global cloud software and advisory firm, which was subsequently re-branded to Cloud Sherpas and acquired by Accenture in 2015. As part of the Accenture CloudFirst leadership, Toan then help to lead the Financial Services and Insurance digital practices and ran Fintech Innovation Lab with the Partnership Fund for NYC.

Toan currently serves as an independent/non-executive director and observer on a several company boards, including a prior public board serving on the Audit and Compliance Committees and Chair of Compensation Committee. In addition, Toan has served as a board advisor/observer to several high-tech SaaS firms and is currently the Fintech Subject Matter Expert within well-respected angel investor consortiums. Toan is active in mentoring women and diverse founders in tech and venture and seeks to link the arts as a bridge to a common language, volunteering with OpeningAct.org, WordswithoutBorders.org, and Lincoln Center Innovation Center.
